2. Time Travel


Depictions of time travel are banned from China. That’s right, people – no Back to the Future! That should be a crime itself!


3. Toy Story



Toy Story repeatedly references to The Shining. The carpet in Sid’s house is the same design as one from The Shining. Overlook’s hotel room number 237 also appears in the animated film as a licence plate number, username and a security camera model number.


4. Toilet Flush


Psycho was the first American film to show a toilet flushing. In fact, the screenwriter deliberately wrote a scene featuring the shot for that reason.


5. Liverpool


Outside of London, Liverpool is the most filmed British city – and was host to more than 140 films in 2002 alone.


6. Revenge


John Lassiter, one of three founders of Pixar, was fired from Disney because he attempted to create three-dimensional cartoon images. Lucasfilm hired him for his innovative soon after. Disney went on to buy both Pixar and Lucasfilms for billions of dollars. Success is the best revenge!


7. Disney


Peter Pan and 101 Dalmatians are the only two Disney movies that feature both parents that are present and do not die throughout the film.


8. Most Popular Line


The most used line in film is “let’s get out of here”. It can be found in films such as The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Chinatown, Little Miss Sunshine and so many more.


9. Hitchcock


Steven Spielberg hung around Alfred Hitchcock’s movie set for days hoping to meet his idol; however, Hitchcock ordered for the “lingering man” to be removed, and was quoted as saying “I can’t sit down and talk to the boy who did the fish movie” He was, of course, referring to Jaws.


10. The Most Films


Who makes the most films ever year? If you’re anything like us, you probably thought it was USA, so you might be surprised to learn that it’s actually Nigeria.
